Categories of light pad
Pads for light bladder leakage in women come in five main designs:
More about pads for women with light bladder leakage
•Small disposable pads are preferred by most women1In trials, women found they performed better than washable products and sanitary towels for containing leakage and most other important criteria1
• Some women do find sanitary towels or washable pants are sufficient for containing their light leakage. Although neither design is as absorbent as a small disposable pad, they are significantly cheaper1
•Although poor at containing more than the lightest leakage, washable pants are popular for discreetness.
•Although washable products generally do not perform as well as disposable products for containing even light leakage, they become increasingly cost effective with multiple uses over extended periods of time.
•No clear difference has been found between washable and disposable products for kindness to skin1
•You may find that choosing a mixture of pads works best for you. For example, use the more expensive but more reliable (for leakage) small pads when going out and the cheaper sanitary towels when at home.
